£45 (All materials will be provided)

Where: Room 2, Kings Theatre, 9 Esplanade, Kirkcaldy KY1 1HR

Tutors: Patricia Bay & Caroline McGonigal

What to expect:

If you're looking for a creative fun activity to enjoy on your own or with a group of friends or family try this seascape in acrylics workshop for beginners and all abilities.

After introductions, we will show some examples of seascapes particularly by William McTaggart and look closely at how he approached this painting.

Pat and Caroline will help you to mix a limited palette like that used in the McTaggart painting. We will help you to tackle clouds, waves and sand in a simple way, as well as teach you about texture and composition. You will find out how to blend colours and create expressive and painterly effects.

By the end of the workshop you will have created your own unique work to take home and be proud of.

Expert tuition will be given throughout and all art materials will be supplied.

You don’t need prior experience to create something lovely to take home! This is an informal and fun workshop and we hope that, whether you are a beginner or slightly more experienced, you will learn some new ideas and techniques to add to your skills.

Suitable for adults, all abilities are welcome.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Whilst we will provide aprons, please wear older clothes you don't mind getting messy, as acrylic paints do stain!

Please arrive around 1.50pm to get settled, so you'll be ready to start the class at 2pm.

The class is held in a lovely spacious room which overlooks the sea, so we hope you'll be inspired and we look forward to welcoming you!

Please be assured that once you have booked and paid for your workshop, you definitely have your place. Our confirmations of these are not automated but we try to confirm everything to you by text within 1-2 days of booking, so please look out for our messages. Thank you

Any cancellations must be made at least 3 days prior to class, in order to receive a full refund. If you have any questions or want more information please contact us at artroomfife@gmail.com
