Degas Ballet Dancers - Soft pastel workshop - Full 2.5hr session with 2 tutors to give individual help
£45 (all materials provided)
Where: Room 2, Kings Theatre, 9 Esplanade, Kirkcaldy KY1 1HR
Tutors: Patricia Bay & Caroline McGonigal
If you're looking for a creative fun activity to enjoy on your own or with a group of friends or family try one of our workshops.
What to expect:
After introductions, examples of work by Degas will be shown.
Following Pat and Caroline’s tuition we will create a grid from your chosen image. We will be working with soft pastels which are great for beginners but they can produce stunning results.
They are applied dry to paper and smudge easily, so can be blended and mixed.
There will be plenty of time to create your finished Degas drawing to take away at the end of the day.
Expert tuition will be given throughout the workshop.
All Art materials will be supplied.
You don’t need prior experience to create something lovely to take home! This is an informal and fun workshop and we hope that, whether you are a beginner or a more experienced, you will learn some new ideas and techniques to try at home.
Suitable for adults, all abilities are welcome.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty but we will provide aprons.
Please arrive around 1.50pm to get settled, so you'll be ready to start the class at 2pm.
The class is held in a lovely spacious room which overlooks the sea, so we hope you'll be inspired and we look forward to welcoming you!
Please be assured that once you have booked and paid for your workshop, you definitely have your place. Our confirmations of these are not automated but we try to confirm everything to you by text within 1-2 days of booking, so please look out for our messages. Thank you
